The purpose of this study is to find out how people make decisions. More specifically we are interested in the influence of certain character traits on decision making that involves social and financial information. In addition, we will be investigating the role of oxytocin (a substance naturally occuring in the brain) in these processes. This way we hope to gain a better understanding of how decisions are made in the brain.

This study consists of two sessions, one online session and one lab session. During session 1 participants are asked to complete several computerised questionnaires (~ 50-60 minutes). Session 2 will take place at Vijverdalseweg 1. In this session participants will receive a nose spray (either oxytocin or placebo) and they will be asked to complete several questionnaires as well as a decision-making task. Throughout the session 4 saliva samples will be collected as well. This second session will maximally last 2 hours.

Participants are compensated with a flat fee of 20€ and an additional 0-72€ depending on task performance.
